A predictable and cheesy love story with a bit of sentimentality and curd, “The Lake House” leaves one with the desire to watch Sandra and Keanu’s initial collaboration repeatedly. The plot twist is intriguing in that “Back to the Future” kind of way, but lacks the family photo to let you know exactly how dire the situation is. If I had been paying closer attention, I think I would have appreciated this more — at least Keanu ends up with the chick in this one.
