Keanuthon

This made so much sense at the beginning

First 'Thon glitch · 06/22/2004

First ‘Thon glitch (followed by first ‘Thon flatulence): Matt had already queued up “Letting Go” to show after the previews and then paniced when he forgot and thought that the tape had not yet been rewound.

5:53pm – “Letting Go”, 1985 John Ritter is in this one. We are starting to remember details of this terrible movie from last year. John and the leading lady meet in some kind of a support group (probably for bad actors in bad movies) and John is wearing a hideous 80’s sweater.

We are currently discussing our rating system for the movies. We need a symbol of Keanu that we can give to each movie: for instance, “Hangin’ In” was a three “whoa” movie (three “whoa” out of four). Matt threw out the idea of using “K”, but probably if we were to give “Hangin’ In” KKK, that might be a bad idea.

“You ‘Thon, We ‘Thon, We all ‘Thon, Keanuthon”

Ratings (it’s not how many ‘whoas’, it is the size that matters): whoooooa! : This is why we ‘Thon whooooa : I wish I could say something classy and inspirational, but that just wouldn’t be our style whoooa : To Keanu or not to Keanu whooa : My Keanuthong is riding up whoa? : Preview for “The Mexican” wh : Premature “whoa”

Apparently Gordon Clapp is in “Letting Go”, and that seemed to excite Carla and Matt.

6:25pm – Keanu says, “Boogie”.

“If man could live on Keanu alone”

“A kingdom for my Keanu”

“There must be more to life than watching Keanu”

We just looked up a quote from “The Replacements” to figure out what the description of the whooooa rating should be: “I know you’re tired. I know you’re hurting. I wish I could say something classy and inspirational, but that just wouldn’t be our style. Pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever.” 1:43 into “The Replacements”

“Keanuthon: 51 weeks in the waiting”

7:15pm – So far the words “Is this movie over yet?” have been spoken upwards of five times, all in reference to “Letting Go”.
